The UPR+ Universal Proximity Reader is designed to work with all access control systems provided they have a Wiegand input for communication.

The UPR+ (contactless reader) reads cards and tokens at 125KHz and 13.56MHz. It transmits the data to the controller while providing a visual and/or audible signal using the LED / Buzzer if the card is recognised, valid or invalid.

The Universal Proximity Reader can be surface wall mounted or flush in a door entry panel (panel mount mode) with a standard 40x40mm cut-out. This is a UNIQUE feature of the UPR+. No other reader available in the UK can be used for panel mounting or wall mounting. The UPR+ suitable for external or internal use.

PANEL MOUNTING

Panel mounting means the reader can be installed into a door entry panel (or other suitable panel or housing) with a 40 x 40mm cut-out.

Most vandal resistant door entry panels are available in a style to accept a 40 x 40mm proximity reader. This style of reader was introduced by PAC in the 1980s.
